Principal's Advisory Committee (PAC) [Sydney College of Advanced Education (SCAE)]

The Principal's Advisory Committees (PAC) were established to ensure the effective and efficient management of the College and in order to involve academic and administrative staff and students in the management of the College. These committees were to advise the Principal and were seen as vital to the good management of the College. They were created and disbanded on the authority of the Principal.

The PAC had as its terms of reference:
1. to advise the Principal on any matter referred to it by the Principal, or by any member of the Committee; and

2. to be a forum for the discussion of the implementation of approved policy.

The PAC consisted of the Principal as Chairperson, Deputy Principal (Deputy Chair), Institute Directors, Head Guild Centre, College Secretary, Associate Secretary, Bursar, Registrar and College Librarian. In 1988, as a result of administrative changes the positions of Associate Secretary, Registrar and Bursar were abandoned and the Administration was represented by the College Secretary and the Deputy Secretary.
