Library Advisory Committee [Sydney College of Advanced Education (SCAE)]

The Library Advisory Committee was one of the Principal's Advisory Committees (PAC). As such, it was established to ensure the efficient and effective management of the College and to involve academic and non-academic staff and students in the management of the College. The terms of reference of the Library Advisory Committee were to advise the Principal in respect of those matters referred to it, and in particular regarding policies affecting the development of a College library system. Such policies were to take account of principles of rationalisation and consolidation of services and staffing, the implications of technological development, the maintenance of quality in library holdings, and the principles of College library functions. The Committee was able to refer staffing recommendations directly to the Resource Advisory Committee.
