University Senate Correspondence [Archibald Liversidge] (Series 1539)

Most of this series are thought to be agenda papers for meetings of the University Senate. The series has been arranged in 7 items as follows:
1: Date range 1875-1888; bound volume with a limited subject index; includes letters in the handwriting of H Russell and W Manning; there are occasional documents in Liversidge's hand including a report on Hovell* properties at Goulburn.
2: Date range 1888-1892; bound volume with a limited subject index; mostly copies of agenda papers for meetings of the University Senate, many in a poor state of preservation; includes a 6 folio report in Liversidge's hand, dated April 1888, on his study leave during which he visisted institutions of teritiary education in Europe, North America and Japan.
3: loose folios dating 1878-1884;
4: loose folios dating 1886-1891;
5: loose folios dating 1892-1899;
6: loose folios dating 1900-1903;
7: loose folios, undated;
8: Copies of Chancellor's addresses 1878-1908.
9: Folio thought to relate to Liversidge's visit to Paris in 1878. See series 9 item 1 - for Liversidge's report on scientific and technological education in Europe and series 19 for copy of 3 page memorandum dated 1878 re Chemical Laboratory.
