Minutes [Board of Studies in Agricultural Science] [Faculty of Agriculture and Environment] (Series 38)

The minutes of the Board of Studies in Agricultural Science are the official signed records of meetings. The minutes record the dates of meetings, attendees, matters discussed in relation to the studies, lectures, examinations, and degrees in the Board, and such questions as may be referred to it by Senate, resolutions carried and defeated, and reports from various committees and subcommittees.

The minutes also reflect amalgamations and separation of faculties with the addition of the Professors of Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology, Physics, and the professors, assistant professors, independent lecturers, assistant lecturers and demonstrators in the other subjects required for the degree of Bachelor of Agriculture. The minute book contains unsigned minutes of the Board's meetings held on 24 March 1915 and 24 May 1920. Subsequently, the minute book for the Board was used for the minutes of the Faculty of Agriculture. The first meeting of the Faculty was held on 13 July 1920. Professor Robert Dickie Watt was elected Dean. The minutes (for Faculty of Agriculture/Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources/Faculty of Agriculture and Environment) are in hard copy format (with microfilm copies) from 1915 to 2003 and in electronic format from 2003 onwards.
