People and Culture Subcommittee
The purpose of the People and Culture Subcommittee is to:
To monitor and advise the Senate People and Culture Committee on matters relating to the remediation and restoration of the Anderson Stuart Building, and strategies to improve the University's culture of compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) training.
Terms of Reference:
The People and Culture Subcommittee is authorised to:
1. receive reports on the condition of the Anderson Stuart Building (“Building”) and, in particular, those aspects of the Building which may not comply with relevant safety standards [as well as the work needed to be undertaken to secure that compliance];
2. receive reports about the arrangements made for the accommodation of staff and students pending the completion of any remediation work required to ensure that the Building complies with relevant safety standards;
3. receive reports about the remediation work undertaken to ensure that the Building complies with relevant safety standards;
4. make recommendations to Senate in respect of any expenditure which may require its approval, and which is necessary for the Building to comply with the relevant safety standards;
5. receive a report or reports that the Building complies with relevant safety standards;
6. receive reports about WHS training compliance; and
7. make recommendations to Senate about strategies to improve staff participation in WHS training to mitigate risks in health and safety across the University.

Membership: Chancellor; Vice-Chancellor; Deputy Chancellor; One Fellow of Senate who is a member of the Strategy and Risk Committee; One external member

At its meeting on 2 October 2019 under Item 5 the PCC Subcommittee discussed the disestablishment of the People and Culture Subcommittee.
