Matriculation Committee

At a meeting of the Professorial Board 20 March 1939 the Matriculation Committee was reconstituted. However, no further information was found in earlier minutes of the Professorial Board or Senate Minutes as to when it was initially constituted.

"In accordance with a Resolution of the Board made on 15 March 1976, the Matriculation Committee and its Chairman will be elected at the meeting of the Academic Board to be held on 18 February 1980. The Committee members and Chairman will hold office until the Board next makes the election in 1982." (Academic Board minutes February 1980, pp.82-83)

The Admissions and Matriculation Committees were amalgamated in March 1984 and called the Admissions Committee (Academic Board Minutes March 1984, pp1170-1171). Sub Committees were appointed to deal with specific aspects of admission and matriculation policy and procedures.
