Graduation ceremony for students from the Institute of Technical and Adult Teacher Education and the Sydney Institute of Education. These institutes were part of the amalgamated institute of the Sydney College of Advanced Education, which was formed on 1 January 1982.

Graduation ceremony held in the Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House. Proceedings opened by the President of Sydney College of Advanced Education, Mrs ME Whitlam. Occasional Address delivered by Principal of Sydney College of Advanced Education Mr IC Smith. Musical numbers performed by the Graduate Diploma in Education Music Group: 'Come Again Sweet Love' - John Dowland, 'Impromptu, Op. 90, No. 4' - Schubert, 'Presto Minuetto' - Mozart, 'Summer is a-coming in' - Paul Giovanni, 'God Bless the Master' - Ralph Vaughan Williams.
