The content is organised in 4 bundles, 244 pages of handwritten and typescript notes, included are drawings of what appear to be totemic sites.

Bundle 1, 43 pp. Totemic divisions, Totems and totemic ceremonies of the Thalanyji, Tharrkari, Payungu, Purduna, Maya, the Kulgilya Clan; Rain Totems including Bilana - Rain Totem of the Wambun Horde of the Nhuwala; Spirit Being of the Payungu - Kardamai; and Purduna equivalent - Yauardamai - [Radcliffe-Brown writes that Yauardamai does not correspond to the 'All-Father" [Baiame] of Eastern Australia]; Purduna equivalent of Baiame - [?Cindinyungu], the sacred name is Kobain; 1 hand drawn map of Kariyarra Tribe country. [A large envelope contains 2 page description of Thalanyji initiation]. The notes are by Radcliffe-Brown and Bates.

Bundle 3, 129 pp. Kinship systems, relationship terms; Purduna Totemism; Nhuwala - Wambun local group system; Maianu local group Totem list and grass seed language names; notes on Payungu social organisation; Totem Phratries for Thalanyji, Payungu, Purduna, Warriyangka; Totemic Clans of the Purduna, Thalanyji, and Tharrkari; notes on Maya country; [2 pp re ?Wundubaia system]; 4 pp under the heading Mann - appear to be language list for many terms of the Pilbara language groups including the Djiwarli, Kariyarra.

Bundle 4, 1 page: Extract from Journal Science of Man, February 1, 1907, pp 23 -24, looking at why Australian First Nations people did not cultivate like the Papuans, Fijians and Melanesians. Includes drawings of 7 carved trees. [See accompanying reference to Town and Country Journal, page 22.]
