The contributors to this item take a local and national perspective on the Eaglehawk and Crow myth, derived from latter day field work by Radcliffe-Brown and others, and the historical record - primarily R Brough Smyth's 1878 The Aborigines of Victoria.

From Smyth comes The Nooralie from Northern Victoria; Eagle myth held by the Lake Tyrrell people of western and central Victoria and of the River Murray.
