This field notebook contains Elkin's research on songs and ceremonial performances that he recorded in 1949 on his visit to Arnhem Land and reviewed in 1952. The major ceremonial cycles of Yabuduruwa and Maraian were the main focus for his fieldwork. (There appears to be language notes on the very last page.)
