Student Results Records Physiotherapy [New South Wales College of Paramedical Studies] [Cumberland College of Health Sciences (CCHS) Registrar] (Series 775]

This series contains the results for students who undertook Physiotherapy courses including the NSW Branch Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Physiotherapists were trained in NSW by the NSW Branch of the Australian Physiotherapy Association until 1973. From 1973, the Physiotherapy course was offered by the NSW College of Paramedical Studies, later Cumberland College of Health Sciences, and supported by the Australian Physiotherapy Association. From 1971 the College offered a 3 year Diploma Course. From 1973, a 1 year Graduate Diploma Course was also offered. In addition to the Diploma and Grad Dip courses, the College also offered a short course called BOBATH, a Post Graduate course in Neuro-developmental Treatment and Cerebral Palsy, which ran from January 1975 to March 1975.

The records are arranged by course and boxed as follows:

Box 7: Physiotherapy Results 1971 to 1975.

Box 8: The award changes from Diploma in Physiotherapy to Diploma in Applied Science in 1975. From 1976, there is also a Bachelor of Applied Science degree offered.

Box 9: From 1978, the College offers a 2 year Conversion Course and in 1979 it introduced a Graduate Diploma course in Manipulative Therapy.

Box 10: This box contains photocopies of examination results in Physiotherapy by year from 1944 to 1974. Some folders also contain photocopies of conferral booklets and lists of prize recipients. 1 folder contains copies of course outlines for the years 1949 to 1975.
