This series contains handwritten and typescript material, and some photographs. The instructions for flying the cellular kite were probably written by Hargrave for the kite which he arranged to made for TWE David, by the carpenter Worsfold in Missenden Road, apparently to take to the Antarctic to assist in meteorological observations. The manuscripts by Douglas Mawson are annotated by an unknown source indicating that they were written when Mawson was a student of the University of Sydney. The other manuscripts are located with correspondence in Series 1475.
