Family Correspondence [Samuel Henry Egerton Barraclough] (Series 1436)

This series consist of letters written by members of the Barraclough and Tilly families. Over half the letters were written between 1892 and 1894 by Samuel HE Barraclough's mother (Hannah Barraclough, nee Smythe), as well as his father (William Henry), his brother Egerton (Gert), and sister Effie. The series also includes letters written by members of the Tilly family especially Barraclough's cousin Fanny (Frances), a few letters written by Barraclough's wife, Mona, between 1937 and 19??, and some printed matter and correspondence pertaining to deceased members of the Barraclough family. See also a copy of a letter to W Tilley, Berlin, dated 30 October 1906 in Series 1435. Although not signed, this letter is presumably authored by Barraclough. The records are arranged according to correspondent and chronologically.
