Correspondence Concerning the Sir Mungo MacCallum Memorial Publication [Ernest Rudolph (ER) Holme] (Series 1075)

This series consists of four folders and contains letters received by Holme, and copies of letters sent by him in the course of his preparation for the Sir Mungo MacCallum Memorial publication. The most frequently addressed correspondents are Lady MacCallum, Walter MacCallum, and JT Wilson (Professor of Anatomy). In 1941, Holme began work on organising the publication of a memorial volume of Southerly, the magazine of the English Association, of which Holme was President, dedicated to his friend Mungo MacCallum, who died in 1942. The memorial volume of Southerly was published as number two of 1944, and contained some short pieces by MacCallum, as well as an introductory note by Holme, an appreciation of his life and work by Professor JT Wilson, and a memorial record by Professor FA Todd for the Professorial Board.
