Faculty Academic Services Committee

Inaugural meeting of the Faculty general managers Committee was 9 February 2017. The Faculty General Managers Committee will be a forum for the exchange of views on topics across the broad spectrum of matters arising in University Executive and Committees. The Committee will meet bimonthly.

Terms of reference:
The University Executive (UE) Faculty General Managers Committee provides an opportunity for the Provost and University Executive to exchange information and develop proposals about key activities directly with senior administrators from the faculties and schools.
The Faculty General Managers Committee will:
1. discuss issues that have come before the Senate or University Executive;
2. provide a forum for raising concerns and the development of proposals for the consideration of the UE;
3. share presentations on key issues and activities; and
4. be a forum for Faculty General Managers to share arising cross-faculty issues.
Participation by Faculty General Managers on University Executive Committees will be by nomination of the Vice-Chancellor.

At 12 December 2018 meeting, discussions were held regarding the change of the Committee name to the Faculty Academic Services Committee and to the terms of reference in terms of membership. The name change and new membership of the committee were endorsed by the Committee on 8 February 2019.
