Faculty of Nursing was established in 1991.

Last mention of Faculty of Nursing is in University Calendar 2004 then becomes the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, then
"On 7 December 2009 the Senate of the University of Sydney resolved to authorise the Vice-Chancellor to agree to the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery adopting the name Sydney Nursing School as an operational name."
