Academic Review Board Rules Subcommittee [Sydney College of Advanced Education (SCAE)]

The Rules Sub-Committee was established by a resolution of the Academic Review Board on 3 November 1982: "That a Rules Sub-Committee be established to consider the uniformity of across College programs". 

The functions of the sub-committee were later defined as:
1. To consider rules related to academic programs in the College and to make recommendations to the Academic Review Board as necessary or as directed by the Board.
2. To make recommendations to the Academic Review Board on the formulation of rules that will contribute to the maintenance of academic standards across Institutes of the College whilst ensuring sufficient flexibility for institutes to present unique programs.
3. To consider and make recommendations on matters referred to it by the Academic Review Board.
4. To develop College Rules on the admission, enrolment, assessment and progression of students and the conferring of awards and formulate recommendations to the Academic review Board on these matters.
5.to refer for comment to the programs Sub-Committee of the Academic review Board, Academic Management Boards within Institutes, Course Development and /or Review Committees within the College matters concerning the development of College Rules on the admission, enrolment, assessment and progression of students and the conferring of awards.
