Guild Centre Academic Committee [Sydney College of Advanced Education (SCAE)]

The Guild centre was formed after the Guild Teachers College was amalgamated with other institutions to create the Sydney College of Advanced Education. Its purpose was to provide courses for external student teachers. Those courses were principally oriented to the training needs of non-government school teachers. The Guild Centre Academic Committee was responsible for the development, co-ordination, monitoring and review of programs offered by the Guild Centre. In 1989, the Sydney College of Advanced Education was disestablished and the Guild Centre then became part of the faculty of Education at the University of Sydney.
