In 1993, following the Boston Consulting Review, the Student Centre, a unit within Student Administration, was reorganised to act more as an information centre, focus on the provision of services to students and answering enquiries from the general public. The enrolment planning function was to be moved to a more senior level. The 2000 Calendar lists both, Student Administration Services and the Student Centre, as part of the Registrar's Division.
In 2016 the Student Centre assisted with matters relating to admissions, enrolments, HECS and domestic fees, student cards, class timetables, examinations and graduation. It also issued documents such as academic records, letters, and proof of enrolment.
Located on Level 3 Jane Foss Russell Building Darlington Campus, its opening hours were Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm [http://sydney.edu.au/study/student-administration.html viewed 11/2/2016]
In 2024 the Student Centre was the first point of contact for student lifecycle information, including timetabling, enrolment, study abroad and exchange, and more. Enquiries could be made online, call or by in person visit. The Centre answered enquiries relating to applying for a new course, exams, unit enrolment and timetabling, graduation, advice on credit for previous study, student cards, course information, fees and scholarships, and helping with navigating the University systems.
