Faculty of Veterinary Science Policies and Facilities Committee

The Policies and Facilities Committee of the Faculty of Veterinary Science was established conjointly by the Vice-Chancellor and the Faculty. It discussed issues relating to accommodation, building & ground development at the University and Camden, student amenities, use of facilities for more than one department as well as issues relating to Faculty Development. On 3 November 1971 the Dean of the Faculty Prof. R.M. Butterfield presented a report on the curricula and timetables, and recommended that a special committee to oversee the overhaul of the curriculum be established. When electing new executives and committee members from January 1972, Faculty decided that the Policy and Facilities Committee should also act as the Curriculum Committee. [Minutes Faculty of Veterinary Science, 3 November 1971, p.273] At that meeting non-professional members of the Policy & Facilities Committee were newly elected for the duration of two years from 1 January 1972.
