"There shall be within the Faculty of Arts a School of Social Sciences under the direction of a Board (hereinafter referred to as the Board of Studies) consisting of the Dean, the professors of Ancient History, Anthropology, Economics, Education, History, Jurisprudence and International Law, Moral and Political Philosophy , Philosophy and Psychology and six lecturers to be elected by the Faculty from the departments of Anthropology, Economics, History, Moral and Political Philosophy, Philosophy and Psychology.

The Board of Studies shall

(a) be concerned with the co-ordination within the School of Social Sciences of courses in the abovementioned subjects,

(b) exercise a general supervision over the work of students enrolled in the School of Social Sciences"
