University Calendar 1959, p165
"88. There shall be a Diploma in Psychology (Dip. Psychol.)
89. The award of the Diploma shall be supervised by a Board of Studies consisting of the Dean of the faculty of Arts, the Professors, Associate Professors, Readers and Senior Lecturers in the subjects of Psychology and Psychiatry and not more than three other persons appointed by the Faculty of Arts on the recommendation of the aforesaid members. Any person so appointed shall hold the office for two years and shall be eligible for re-appointment."
The Board discussed examination results, admission of candidates to study the diploma, membership of the Board, revisions to the By-Laws, and, course arrangements.
The Board of Studies had recommended amendment to the By-Laws in 1977 to remove provision for the Diploma in Psychology and the Board of Studies. Subsequently it was realised that By-law provision for the Diploma had to remain as long as there were candidates. As there were no further candidates enrolling or students re-enrolling, and there had been no new students admitted since 31 December 1977 in the Diploma the last meeting of the Board was 18 March 1983.
