Rae McLintock was the Registrar at the Sydney Teachers College from 1968 to 1981, and then College Secretary at the Sydney College of Advanced Education from 1983 to 1988. McLintock was behind the creation of the position of College Archivist.
He received a Medal of the Order of Australia on 26 January 1990 for services to education.
