This folder contains notes and lecture notes on policy and the interaction between Aboriginal and European peoples. Some of the lectures are numbered. Also included is a reprint of AP Elkin's paper 'Reaction and Interaction: A Food-Gathering People and European Settlement in Australia' from the American Anthropologist, Vol. 53, No. 2, April -June 1951; some newspaper cuttings relating to Aboriginal land rights cases and the recording of Aboriginal culture; as well as correspondence (1970) between AP Elkin, R Berndt and Thomson and Co., solicitors for the Yirrkala Village Council, regarding a hotel licence for premises at Nhulunbuy, Gove, Northern Territory - includes copies of statements of the impact such a licence would have by both AP Elkin and Berndt.
