Loose papers contain 2 pages of a Quarterly Bulletin No.19 15/1/1943 which includes a short article on 'Aboriginal Welfare in Country Towns', a summary of information regarding Aboriginal welfare at Collarenebri.

1941 correspondence between Elkin and church representatives containing copies of Elkin's questionnaire and responses regarding Aboriginal welfare issues on Mission Stations and in country towns. The churches approached were the Church of England and the Methodists. Questionnaires were sent to Quirindi, Boggabilla, Pilliga, Gundagai, Peak Hill, Woodenbong, Brungle, Wallaga Lake, Burrabadee [?Burra Bee Dee], Port Macquarie, Moree, Narooma.
Responses were received from Quirindi, Woodenbong, Brungle, Moree, Bulgandramine - near Peak Hill, Kyogle, Cabbage Tree Island, Ballina, Baradine and, Narooma.
