A Preliminary Study of the Processes of the Kumbaingeri Language

The folder contains three bundles as well as loose pages of paper.

Loose pages referring to 'Questions in Kattang' consisting primarily of English text; pages bibliographic references to articles relating to NSW Aboriginal languages and songs (these are written mainly on scrap paper; one page refers to Fieldwork - Vacation and lists a number of locations.) 

There is one loose page that has a letter from Camilla Wedgwood written in pencil. There is no date. It is her writing and the first sentence is: "Since writing to you last I have learnt quite a lot about Manum trade & canoe management." Wedgwood was on Manum Island for 2 years, 1932-1934. The reverse of the page has reference to 'Fieldwork & Vacation' in Elkin's writing.

Bundle 1 and 3 (7pp each): are typescripts of the paper A Preliminary Study of Processes in the Kumbaingeri Language of New South Wales; prepared for the Australian Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS); there are no Gumbaynggir words in this paper.
Bundle 2 (3pp) contains a three page handwritten instruction for the printing of texts [Radcliffe-Brown's handwriting].
