The item comprises 3 bundles and loose leaf pages of interlinear translations and notes on various Wandjina Myths. This item could be tape 6 from the Coate's recordings held by AIATSIS. In the AIATSIS guide to Coates recordings for tape 6 the title is 'Ngarinyin narratives with Wattie Nedu and Friday Budbad'.

The Rock Cod and Wandjina; Galarung-ari - Bailer Shell; The Grasshoppper; The Goana (Iguana; Wandjinas at War; Wandjina & the Bark Shelter. Included is a letter to Elkin with answers provided by Watti and Budbad to questions by Elkin, 1969.

Bundle 1: Contents include: 1.The Rock Cod & Wandjina; [Galarungari; Joman pencilled in slightly below to the right under The Rock Cod...]; 2. The Grasshopper; 3. The Goanna (Iguana); 4. Wandjinas at War; 5. Wandjina and the Bark Shelter; etc. At the top right it is typed 'HHJ Coate 1963'. The item is typed interlinear translations.

Bundle 2: Annotated typescript 1. The Rock Cod & the Wandjina; 2. Galarungari & Bailar Shell; 2a. G[alaru] and Dunbej - Jo:man: the flood; 3. The Grasshopper; 4. The Goanna (guana); 5. Wandjinas at War; 6. Wanawai the Devil; 7. Wandjina and the Bark Shelter.
'1963' is written in pen.

There is a scrap of paper between pages 5 & 6 which has handwritten on it "Wandjina and Cyclone Clouds. Recprded by Tommy in Nyngarinyin, 1969".

Bundle 3: Iguana. Written in pen underneath the title it states 'Recorded by Budbad and Watti at Beverley Springs while on the way from Doubtful Bay to Gibb River in Ungarinyin in 1963'. There is a slip of paper with tis bundel which states "Take in on Tuesday & check top copy-but wait for HC's answers. IGUANA.'

The loose papers include a 1974 letter from Coate to Elkin with answers to questions given by Watti and Budbad, 1969.
