This is Elkin's field notebook for his 1948 and 1949 Arnhem Land work. On these visits he made a study of the Kunapipi and the Yabuduruwa ceremonial cycles, and recorded songs. There are notes on song and music performances, some words and phrases in language with English translations, and a subsection diagram on the inside back cover.
