Language Groups: When referring to the 'Native Population' the Berndts cite the following Language Groups occupying the Balgo Hills area: Gugadja-Mandjildjara, [Kukatja], Walmajarri (Wanmadjeri), Wonggadjunggu [?Wangkajunga], Ngabi and Ngardi. They also claim the Walmajarri to be the original people.
