Graduates Association of Cumberland College of Health Sciences (GACCHS)

The Graduates Association was established in 1980, holding its first meeting on 13 February.  All graduates of Cumberland College of Health Sciences (CCHS) and the graduates of the professional school which together formed Cumberland College of Health Sciences were eligible for membership of the Association.

The objects of the association were to support and advance the character, status and interests of the College and its associations; to provide a meeting place for graduates to maintain and re-establish friendships; to serve as a clearing house for information regarding activities and location of graduates; to act as a centre for liaison with industry, commerce and the community; to assist the College to communicate with graduates, keeping them informed on courses and affairs of the College; to assist in the future development of the College and Health Science Education; and to assist the College by using the expertise available within the association.

On 1 January 1990 the College amalgamated with the University of Sydney.
