Molonglo Observatory Synthesis Telescope (MOST) Log Books [Department of Astrophysics] [Sydney Institute for Astronomy (SIfA)] (Series 1182)

This series contains log books with carbon copy handwritten readings and calibrations from the Molonglo Observatory. When astronomers find something new they consult various observatories to check their logs to review what was seen. The contents of the log books include:

Boxes 1 to 4: record logs, 34 log books (24 has two log books - a and b), 17/05/1965 to 23/08/1978.

Box 5: station logs, volumes 2 to 5, 01/01/1972 to 12/07/1978 and another volume 02/06/1982 to 03/01/1987;

clock errors, 1 log book, April 1965 to April 1970;

pulsar search, 1 log book, 25/06/1976 to 05/08/1977;

solar observations, 1 log book, 08/03/1988 to 27/05/1988.

Box 6: digital record 4C observations, 1 log book, 09/08/1967 to 31/05/1968;

NS Feeds assembly, 31/08/1965 to 09/12/1965;

electrical testing, 2 log books, 03/08/1965 to 03/11/1966

EW Feeds, 4 log books, 15/10/1963 to 01/06/1965

EW - NS copies, 1 log book, 16/02/1967 to 05/09/1968.
