This item relates to the social life and customs of the Aboriginal peoples of the Cape York Peninsula, in particular the Mitchell and Coleman Rivers regions. The peoples include the Wik and Yir Yoront - Yirrk Thangalki.  In 8 articles, Thomson recounts aspects of his 1929 anthropological field trip across Cape York Peninsula for the Melbourne Herald.
