Elkin appears to be preparing a report on Yarrabah in response to the Superintendent's 1946 Report and has obtained supporting documentation. The item contains material relevant to Aboriginal peoples of Yarrabah Mission, including the Gunggay and the Yidiny.

The item consists of 4 bundles. The entries are typescript and handwritten in black ink.

Bundle 1: 4 pages, undated: Entitled Yarrabah. Elkin appears to be preparing a report on the Mission Station. He makes mention of the number of residences and their condition; the school and equipment; the condition of the hospital; Staff quarters; dormitories; office; store; Research Hall; priest's house; and native houses.

Bundle 2: 1 page, undated: Entitled Yarrabah Mission, scale of rations issued free. Products include fresh meat, flour, butter, sugar, syrup, salt and tobacco.

Bundle 3: 4 pages, Yarrabah Mission, Statement of Receipts and Payments, for 9 months, from 1.6.1945 - 28.2.1946; 1.6.1945 - 31.3.1946; 1.6.1946 - 30.4.1946; 31.5.1945 - 31.3.1946.

Bundle 4: 7 pages 1946. Yarrabah Mission. Superintendent's Report for Year Ending May 31, 1946. 5-page report includes details of staff, population, deaths, arrivals, rainfall, visitors, schools, dormitories, buildings, native council, store and hospital. Covering letter with the report from the mission superintendent Mr C G Brown and its acknowledgement.
