Minutes [Faculty of Arts/Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS)] (Series 32)

This series consists of hard copy (with microfilm copies) and electronic minutes of the Faculty. The minutes record attendees and business dealt with. Subject to the authority of Senate and the Academic Board, faculties determined all matters concerning degrees and diplomas in their faculty. They also considered and reported on all matters referred to it by Senate, the Vice-Chancellor or the Academic Board and could of their own motion report to the Academic Board on all matters relating to research, studies, lectures, examinations, degrees and diplomas in the faculty. The hard copy minute books of the Faculty start with the first meeting held on 4 October 1889 and end in November 2007. Minute books, Items 1 to 46, are in bound format from October 1889 to 2007, while the minutes for 2008 onwards are in electronic format.
